The InfoNexus 2016 Organization Committee is proud to announce Lori Podolsky as a speaker at InfoNexus 2016! Lori Podolsky will be speaking about the McGill University Archives and her experiences as Acting University Archivist.
Lori Podolsky is a graduate to the University of Manitoba Archival Studies programme in History. She has worked with the International Development Research Centre and the Government of Ethiopia in the areas of digital preservation and metadata standards, respectively. In addition, Lori was the digital archivist at the Provincial Archives of Alberta and the Senior Records Office for the Alberta Research Council prior to coming to McGill University. Currently, she is the acting University Archivist and is involved in numerous projects, such as historical weather data crowdsourcing and in improving the discoverability of archival fonds held in the McGill University Archives.
